We here at Cabin and Lake Place have one of these wonderful feeders
hanging off our back yard deck up in Minnesota.
Exactly as advertised, this tough and durable suet feeder
will allow wookpeckers and smaller birds such as nuthatches
and chickadees to get their energy filled suet on those cold
winter days without the local squirrel population getting any of it.
The double suet cake holder can provide weeks of feeding, making it
well suited for the cabin or lake place where you are not there for extended
periods.
Unlike most other suet feeders, when the suet compartment metal plate
is in place, the Suet Palace keeps squirrels, pesky starlings and grackles from
eating the suet.
Large and smaller woodpeckers like Flickers, Sapsuckers, Red Headed, Red Bellied,
and even Pileated Woodpeckers can hang from the bottom and feed.
Holes on the sides are 1.5 inches square which allows smaller birds to enter. The bottom
is a .5 inch grid which allows for the birds to feed but keep squirrels out.
Solid galvanized top provides shade and shelter and pivots up to provide access to the
suet cake holder.
Overall size is 9 1/2" wide, 11" long and 7" high. Hanging chain included.
